Last Updated: February 8, 2026

Welcome to Contact Your Rep (“Contact Your Rep,” “we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of https://www.contactyourrep.com/ (the “Site”) and any tools, templates, or services we provide (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

  1. 1) What We Provide

    The Services help users locate and contact elected representatives and provide optional message templates and related civic-engagement tools. We may add, remove, or change features at any time.

  2. 2) Not Governmental, Not Legal Advice, Not Guaranteed Outcomes

    No government affiliation. We are not a government agency and are not affiliated with any federal, state, or local government office.

    No endorsements. We do not endorse any political party, candidate, or policy position. Content and templates are provided for informational purposes only.

    No legal advice. Templates and guidance are provided for general informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice.

    No outcome guarantees. We do not guarantee that your message will be delivered, read, acted upon, or that any representative or office will respond.

  3. 3) User Responsibilities

    • You are responsible for the content you generate, copy, paste, send, or otherwise transmit using information or templates from the Services.
    • You will verify recipient information (including names, districts, emails, phone numbers, and addresses) before relying on it.
    • You will comply with all applicable laws and rules that apply to your communications (including any rules of legislative offices and email providers).
  4. 4) Acceptable Use

    You may not use the Services to:

    • Harass, threaten, defame, or abuse any person;
    • Promote violence or illegal activities;
    • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
    • Transmit malware or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Services;
    • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Services using automated means (except standard search engine indexing);
    • Use the Services in a way that interferes with others’ use.

    We may suspend or block access to the Services if we believe you have violated these Terms.

  5. 5) Accuracy and Data Sources

    Representative contact information and related details may come from third-party or public sources and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.”

  6. 6) Donations

    The Site may offer an optional way to support the project via a “Donate” link or button. Donation checkout may be processed by a third-party provider. Your donation is optional and not required to use core Services.

    Tax deductibility. Unless we explicitly state otherwise in writing, donations are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions.

    Refunds. Unless required by law, donations are final. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact us at support@contactyourrep.com and we will review requests in good faith.

  7. 7) Third-Party Services and Links

    The Services may include links to third-party websites or services (including payment processors). We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms and privacy policies.

  8. 8) Intellectual Property

    We and our licensors own the Services, including site design, text, graphics, logos, and templates (excluding content you provide). You may use templates for your personal, non-commercial civic communications. You may not resell, republish, or commercially exploit our templates or content without our written permission.

  9. 9) Feedback

    If you submit suggestions or feedback, you grant us the right to use it without restriction or compensation.

  10. 10) Disclaimer of Warranties

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

  11. 11) Limitation of Liability

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CONTACT YOUR REP WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICES.

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS (WHICHEVER IS GREATER).

    Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

  12. 12) Indemnification

    You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Contact Your Rep from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Services, (b) your communications or content, or (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

  13. 13) Dispute Resolution; Arbitration (Optional but common)

    (A) Informal resolution first. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@contactyourrep.com and allow 30 days to attempt to resolve informally.

    (B) Arbitration. Except for claims that qualify for small claims court, you and Contact Your Rep agree to resolve disputes through binding arbitration on an individual basis, and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

    (C) Class action waiver. You agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity.

    (If you want this section, you should have a lawyer sanity-check it for enforceability and to tailor venue/provider rules. If you’d rather avoid arbitration entirely, remove Section 13.)

  14. 14) Governing Law; Venue

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, to the extent state law applies, the laws of the state in which Contact Your Rep is organized or primarily operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If arbitration is removed, disputes will be brought in courts located in that same state, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

  15. 15) Changes to These Terms

    We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date reflects the effective date. Your continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
